Just a couple of months ago, I posted the following on my LinkedIn account, and it was met with a resounding, “We can relate!!” from our partners on the carrier side and my insurance agent friends alike. We thought it would be good to share again on our blog as a snapshot of this moment in time in our industry.

Wow. If you are familiar with the Florida property insurance market right now, you feel the heavy truth that underwriting exceptions are like currency. The market is so tight, we joke that we need a blood test and your kindergarten report card just to be able to quote. Trying to withhold pertinent info from an underwriter has got to be the most short-sighted thing an insurance agent can do, and yet, it’s super common. Establishing solid relationship and trust with our underwriting partners has proved to be valuable beyond measure over the last few years.
